Untied

Reluctant happiness is
not to bear, is not
to pen
that spirit scrimmage.
Wind from nowhere,

The cut that tears,
the trap of momentary
fickle good.
The universe so in
the head’s voice-over:
polyphonic
despite its fix,
unhinged
despite attachment.
